Rookie and Dave Pass Level 1

Well it took awhile and Rookie and I finally Passed our level 1 assessment.All we can say!! ( it was hard work for Rookie and I )now we are going to take a breather and just play around for some time . I did talk to marc and we may do a level 2 class.and I'm going to audt a level 3 class for more knowledge. I do want to thank Jill Curtis for taking the time out of her busy schedule and teaching Rookie and I the basics of Riding. Without Jill Rookie and I most likely could not have passed . I am honored to have such a GREAT Teacher like her. WE owe you Jill.
On another note Numerous and I have been riding allot and what a wonderful horse I have .I must say I have The best Bad Boys Ha ha.

Rookie and Numerous /Riding today

Wish i had some Pict from today ,The camera went for a ride and will never return!! anyway Rookie has another hole on his front knee so we did very lite riding ,He was good for awhile then things went south so we had a Little attitude adjustment for both of us then things went better . Rookie and I are still learning and is going very well. Today was the first day saddling up Numerous and what a session we had . Now that I can communicate better Numerous and I were doing all kinds of fun stuff. We rode around cones , barrels with kids on it we circled ,We did the squeeze game between the rail and a stepping stool about 2ft apart trotted down the rail and weaved between small cones and large traffic cones . All I can say is Wow today was a Great Experience . After I was done riding, Dakotah rode Numerous for at least a hour.So our weekend ends an a fantastic experience>>>>>>>>

Training For Pushing Passanger

Received a call from Marc ,My Parelli Instructor today and he gave me some good news !! Parelli has extended the time for the old assessments till the end of January .Now that Rookie and I have been training with Jill and understand how a Horse and Rider need to communicate we will try for our pushing passenger test again. This time we should pass with flying colors ,The last video I gave to Marc he said it was 100% better and that I will have no problem. This Is such great News .

Today was just a playday to relax .Sunday was running all over and kicking up his hoofs.Rookie and Numerous ,Sunday had treats and was groomed .

Numerous Training and Rookie

Today was a great day with success riding Rookie , We started to ride in the round pen and then we went to the large turnout were Rookie and I walked and trotted and zig zaged across from rail to rail .Then a gust of wind came up and I lost my hat Rookie was very calm so we Played the touch it game while I was on his back Rookie went to my hat which was about ten feet away and put his nose on my hat, It was SO cool. I picked my hat and rookie and I walked to the round pen and it was being used so I had this brain storm that I will ride Rookie around the ranch so we went to the Parelli sand box across from the round pen and I climbed aboard and away we went .We rode around the sand box to the large turnout around hospice to the barn back to the mare motel went inside and came out by my tack shed then to the feed room and back to the small turnout to play .Rookie was like riding a new horse as if he new what to do !! I'm blessed to have a GREAT COMPANION as Rookie.
As for Numerous we did allot of Parelli It was a tough day for him .Now its his turn to be as good as Rookie and I have No doubt he will be we have a great companionship also .

Rookie and Training

Today was another lesson with Jill ,Rookie showed Jill what he has been working on and Jill has said that Rookie Looks Happier because WE now have a better understanding. Jill had me post ,trot to a walk and this new stance for me was to ride in the jumper position and keep my heels pointed down , That was hard .Saturday Jill will be giving Rookie and I another lesson ,I just want to say that it is a privilege to get riding lesson from a EXPERT like Jill. If you can just look at what she has accomplished and her riding skills. Again for now
