WE are tired today rookie and Numerous Played with the noodle game and rookie did great but numerous was hell on hoofs .Once rookie got us ta the noodle he was great but on the other hand Numerous was total left brain and a spastic horse .I kicked the noodle on the ground and numerous rared up and was at the end of the rope . today was a quite day the BadBoys went on a trail ride on Friday and today we played Parelli games all day . We used our imagination as we were walking around the ranch .the boys used the stockade under the city center as a trailer and we walked between the wash rack tie rails .Rookie and Numerous walked forwards and backwards in and out and stood in the stockade for 90 seconds . then we went into the big turnout and played with the cones and the barrels .I would tap on the cones and the boys would touch them with their noses Rookie even try ed to tap them with his hoofs .after was all said and done then we played follow the leader with salsa and the boys and walked every were .Well for now that's it .

Well after our choirs Dakotha and I decided to go trail riding This time we took the camera and had a great time ,One of my Goals was to get to this point in my horsemanship .when I first adopted Rookie he was only 1 1/2 yrs old and never broke and I worked with him on the ground for over 2yrs .when he was 3 I started working him under the saddle for 6 days and decided he was ready and he was perfect .it was on a Sunday and I sat on his back and walked around the round pen and from their it was all up hill reaching my goal to ride outside of Shiloh .Now I have Numerous and He also is becoming very well adjusted to trail riding ( from only knowing how to go straight and race )I only use the Parelli halter with him and he is doing Great .Now we are on a journey into the world of Parelli and we have made it to level 2 and our goal will be 1 star instructor.So for now

We went on the journey with Eric & Gus ,Dakotah & Rookie, Deonna & Sunday and Dave & Numerous .What a great time riding and walking ,This was the First time for Rookie to be Ridden and the second time for numerous .What a difference riding out side of the ranch . Well the day started well till Sunday decided he was a high jumper .Sunday was in the large turnout just running like a stallion and decided to turn left and jump over the 4 ft fence . Well he almost made it but his nose hit the top rail and half went in the upper bars and half in the lower bars .He hit his nose bad enough to cause a large amount of blood to go every ware . we rushed him to the wash rack and hosed him down and deonna pampered him for 2 hrs .I thing it rung his bell ,but he was fine later . we will see him in the morning

What a great weekend .On Saturday the boys and I just hung out all day I kept moving the stool and they just moved with me .The Friendly Game .
On Sunday the boys and I went into the round pen played the seven games and I decided to ride numerous with nothing and just go where he want to ,What a blast Numerous and rookie went in circles and in every way the decided to walk , trot stop and do what horses do I had the best time . Then I try ed to move zone one with the carrot stick and was successful . I turned out the boys and was talking to Tonya and decided to try riding rookie the same .Wow that was different .I mounted him from the fence and away we went we cantered and Oh boy I thought I was gong over the rail at the other end ,It was funny because Tonya was thinking the same thing But it all was cool What a Day.So for now

This weekend was hot so we played early morning this was Sundays First bath and He was a pistol .I washed rookie and Numerous first so he could see what was going on and boy ,I started wetting his Hoof and it was on .I had a hard time because we kept going round and round and i was getting dizzy. Any how once we were both on the same page it was all good , It took about a half hour and Sunday was clean . any how I wont be Posting this weekend due to we will be in Reno Nevada for the Parelli celebrations ,Jill has asked us to take a Shiloh Horse (Cheyenne) for the 4 day event .Hey Lets

Just wanted to say that we had lost velcro this afternoon.He had a relaps from his treatment and we made the decision to put him to sleep ,all the medicine that he was taking was not the life we wanted for him. He was a happy guy before all the meds and he was not being a kitty .We will miss him greatly and we are glad he enjoyed a great life for the two years he spent with us.one last call to him as we all had a different name for him , Mermell,merrrrr,mistermister,and velli

Well this Saturday was a great day the weather was perfect,We arrived at 7am and my first stop was to play with Rookie He was so Happy to see me we spent about 1 hr just grooming and playing the friendly game .His strangles is almost gone and he is in very good spirits :) .well it was time for me yo due my chores and cube all the old guys and clean the barn. Now its time to play and I headed of to get Numerous He was also in a great mood and I decided to just ride him from the pasture back to the barn area which I have never done before . Wow that was fun ! Numerous had his first bath of the year and he cleans up pretty good ,shinny and clean .as the day went on I decided to ride Numerous back to his pasture and I had put Parana spray on him what a ride that was I started to trot and his back was like he had armor all on it and I slid right off his back I was laughing so hard that the folks watching me thought I was telling him to stop .I slid around his neck and he slowed down and stop ed for me .I guess all the Parelli Training has worked I just have some awesome Horses. Well for now

Well we had a scare! We were positive we would have to put Velcro to sleep. He has a problem with his rump like ebs .we wanted to have surgery on him but he was born with a bad heart mummer and we almost lost him at the time he was nuttered .The vet told us we could not do surgery because he would not make it to fix his ebs so the vet worked her magic and put everything back to gether and he was able to come home.He is a walking pharmacy for awhile and thats ok .Darian is so Happy .

Went to the ranch today and groomed Numerous and did a little riding bareback ,as always Numerous was very well behaved .We really enjoy riding bareback so we must purchase a Parelli bareback pad ,maybe I will hint for my birthday in may Ha ha!!.Played with Rookie before I came Home and for a guy who has Strangles he is pretty active .It must be all the 4 flex that I give my Horses it has all the vitamins and minerals they need in their diet.He is still eating and Looks great except for his chin It has broken open and is draining well I looked like a surgeon with my blue rubber gloves as we were playing in the quarantine pen. I want him to keep moving so their will be no opportunity for colic . We had a good time playing and we ate peppermints together .Will keep you posted on his progress as time goes on .

Today started out great until I went to get the BadBoys and Numerous was fine but Rookie may have strangles. I noticed on Saturday he was breathing like he had a plugged nose and today his jaw has a lump . so Rookie is in Isolation.He is not a Happy camper in that small stall. Now on a good note Numerous and did some games and a Little bareback riding .This time we rode from the tack room and through the mare motel and back to the pasture I was a little concerned about the wind but Numerous was Great.Then when we reached the small turn out we rode sideways down the fence and back to the pasture Numerous was a perfect gentleman he is coming along very well.

Then Sunday and I worked on some games and played the touch it game ,We walked over logs and went up the tri level steps and back down Sundays confidence is perfect .He could be as good or better than the big Boys .Then Will came into the picture when we was in the round pen ,so I started working with will we also did the seven games .Will is a very smart horse it only took phase 2 to get him to do the circle game ,the yo yo and to move your rear. If rookie will be down for awhile this will give me more time with the Little dudes.Well for now

Well this weekend was pretty great .Rookie and Numerous went on a stroll in the trees with Jet and Reasons on Saturday .For me it was cool because I had both the boys at once ,and they behaved very well . We trotted all at the same time and they both were on the same page as I was. We did a little light riding bareback and under saddle. Rookie played the touch it game and put his hoof on a stool, it was interesting .then we did the circling game and I was running beside him That was fun then we headed to the barrel and he put his hoof on the barrel then stepped over That was cool .Little Sunday and I played the step up game onto the new wash rack then Deonna took over and he went right up What a big step for him . we also trimmed his hoofs today .Well that it for this weekend .

Well this weekend was hectic Hospitals and lots of visitors. It was just Darian on Sunday . We are Keeping a close eye on little Sunday we hope that he doesn't get strangles .his play mates have it and have separated and all he has now is little will. Rookie and Numerous went on our walk today and we did some bareback riding with both .They are doing so well with the hackamore Parelli halter both of them are so relaxed they are very light and responsive ,no head tossing at all .Numerous and I even trotted around and then I changed to Rookie and Numerous was right beside us behaving and being perfect .Parelli has really changed our relationship . The BadBoys were at the back of the turnout and I walked in and just sat in the sand and the bout walked up to me and nudged me on the shoulder. Yeah I was proud Ha ha!!!

Hello all, This weekend was back to the usual Saturday Rookie and I did some riding we were trying new bits and riding with the hackamore .Rookie really likes using the hackamore and responds extreamly well .When we use the bit he strugles and we have changed bits and if you have sugestions let me know.Sunday Numerous and I rode and gave rides to little sam she just loves Rookie and Nummy as she call him . The Boys will have their Hoofs trimmed on monday and Numerous will have his teeth floated on the 24th I hope this will help him from chewing on the bit and beeing mouthy. See you next weekend .

Rookie and Numerous was doing the circling game while I was walking down the arena. Both did very well .Rookie went through the seven games , played touch it with Dean and stuff in the arena . This weekend was Great ,Saturday was the perfect weather to play and Sundays weather was cool with a breeze. Rookie and Numerous worked on some patterns and playing the walking circling game . Rookie and I then played tag your it and I lost!! I cant run as fast to FAT HeeHee.We were joined by the white horse and Hell came with it ,Numerous and charmin had a little battle whit biting and a few kicks .Numerous got a good bite in but charmin won the battle with first blood ! Numerous was kicked in the leg just above the knee so we went to clean his wound then Rookie and charmin went for round two ,I think it was a tie ??? So Deonna fixed Numerous Dakotah went and got Rookie out of the Hell pen . Charmin you may have won the Battle but not the War !!! Hee Hee . All and all it was Great

Well this weekend was cold and rain ,I still went to the ranch and did all my chores and had time to play with Rookie and Numerous on Saturday before the rain socked in . The boys were playing in the big turnout then the rain hit hard so we went into the mare motel and had our sups and was groomed . as the rain slowed Rookie and Numerous and I ran to the pasture and called it a day.
Sunday was better so we had time to play and get groomed again, Rookie and Numerous was feeling their oats today. It was cold but a great day for the Boys . Little Sunday and I did some Parelli He is coming along very well . Until next weekend

Again this weekend was just to relax .Rookie had to go to the mare motel and be on antabotics 2x a day for 4 days , we had to move him over one stall because he was kicking the stall with charmin in it . His knee looks better but it had some pus still comimg out so we wanted to keep a close eye on him .

Numerous and sunday dont get along at this time ,poor sunday got both barrrels from Numerous but he is ok. We are all going to the Parelli convention in reno Yea .

Well it took awhile and Rookie and I finally Passed our level 1 assessment.All we can say!! ( it was hard work for Rookie and I )now we are going to take a breather and just play around for some time . I did talk to marc and we may do a level 2 class.and I'm going to audt a level 3 class for more knowledge. I do want to thank Jill Curtis for taking the time out of her busy schedule and teaching Rookie and I the basics of Riding. Without Jill Rookie and I most likely could not have passed . I am honored to have such a GREAT Teacher like her. WE owe you Jill.
On another note Numerous and I have been riding allot and what a wonderful horse I have .I must say I have The best Bad Boys Ha ha.

Wish i had some Pict from today ,The camera went for a ride and will never return!! anyway Rookie has another hole on his front knee so we did very lite riding ,He was good for awhile then things went south so we had a Little attitude adjustment for both of us then things went better . Rookie and I are still learning and is going very well. Today was the first day saddling up Numerous and what a session we had . Now that I can communicate better Numerous and I were doing all kinds of fun stuff. We rode around cones , barrels with kids on it we circled ,We did the squeeze game between the rail and a stepping stool about 2ft apart trotted down the rail and weaved between small cones and large traffic cones . All I can say is Wow today was a Great Experience . After I was done riding, Dakotah rode Numerous for at least a hour.So our weekend ends an a fantastic experience>>>>>>>>

Training For Pushing Passanger

Received a call from Marc ,My Parelli Instructor today and he gave me some good news !! Parelli has extended the time for the old assessments till the end of January .Now that Rookie and I have been training with Jill and understand how a Horse and Rider need to communicate we will try for our pushing passenger test again. This time we should pass with flying colors ,The last video I gave to Marc he said it was 100% better and that I will have no problem. This Is such great News .

Today was a great day with success riding Rookie , We started to ride in the round pen and then we went to the large turnout were Rookie and I walked and trotted and zig zaged across from rail to rail .Then a gust of wind came up and I lost my hat Rookie was very calm so we Played the touch it game while I was on his back Rookie went to my hat which was about ten feet away and put his nose on my hat, It was SO cool. I picked my hat and rookie and I walked to the round pen and it was being used so I had this brain storm that I will ride Rookie around the ranch so we went to the Parelli sand box across from the round pen and I climbed aboard and away we went .We rode around the sand box to the large turnout around hospice to the barn back to the mare motel went inside and came out by my tack shed then to the feed room and back to the small turnout to play .Rookie was like riding a new horse as if he new what to do !! I'm blessed to have a GREAT COMPANION as Rookie.
As for Numerous we did allot of Parelli It was a tough day for him .Now its his turn to be as good as Rookie and I have No doubt he will be we have a great companionship also .

Today was another lesson with Jill ,Rookie showed Jill what he has been working on and Jill has said that Rookie Looks Happier because WE now have a better understanding. Well we didn't make it with the pushing passenger part of our test . talking with Marc and Jill it is because Me being new at riding and Rookie being Green broke nether one of us new what to do . Marc called me today and said for me doing Parelli I was learning the Hard way .Most riders start with the BASICs of riding and the Horse they are using has been trained to ride . Well OK I wanted to teach my own horse and Rookies Ground skills are Perfect again we passed all level one but pushing passenger That's pretty Dam Good with a very Green Horse. So now Rookie and I have had our first riding lesson with Jill yesterday and it was very difficult for me and Rookie.We did allot of phases and Jill did allot of coaching Wow my legs and butt are sore . Jill even did some riding and I was seeing a different Rookie ,He had a little attitude with me and Jill, Hm Interesting!!
Today Rookie and I practiced riding and we both understand alittle more . we started and stop ed at different areas and even went from a walk to a trot , did crossing the arena and figure 8 s.Hell we even circled and went between the barrel and the stepping stool .All in all what a Great day. We will ride again Thursday and we have a lesson with Jill on Friday

Hello All
Today was another Great day ,I have started working the 7 games with Sunday he is a quick learner .. I started with the yo yo and the stand in one spot and a lot of friendly game . He was a little afraid of the carrot string but is getting better.I wanted to get a start on leading him around the large turnout doing the helicopter with the rope. not bad , then I worked on picking up all his hoofs and getting him ready for later this had to be the best part of the day .back to mommy . Did some new level 2 games with Rookie ,We did the sniff it and touch it and then take it ,Sorry about your Hat Eric !! I used every body who was standing around the fences ,barrels,cones,glove in between fence post and we even did the sideways game over Eric Well, we came very close If Eric was bent over a Little more it might have been a success. We also did the circle game while walking down the arena and going around items . We did teach Numerous to back through the gate He was a little haywire today for some reason I had to mach his energy 2 to 3 times but we did OK .

Well this weekend was great , Rookie & Numerous did a lot of Parelli .Rookie is now under saddle and learning how to walk ,trot ,and canter . He is learning what the cues are and we are having to use phases and I had to take lessons on a older horse .As we say in Parelli land Horse teaches rider and rider teaches Horse. Numerous has been working on the lateral fl exaction he is real stiff. We are doing the seven games and using our imagination wow we are just having fun .

well this weekend was productive ,we rode Rookie and had a little training help from Sabina .We are teaching Rookie to walk and trot while doing the pushing passenger riding lesson as well as my self . Rookie and Numerous also worked on the circle game jumping over logs and on the 3 tier sand box . so far our ground work is 100% but I need to take riding lessons to get my energy to my butt so Rookie will do his part .All in all we are pleased and looking forward to level Two .

Well this weekend was full of surprises , My Parelli instructor was out on Saturday and we were going to work some shiloh horses .Well Marc and I walked around the ranch deciding Horses and we decided to do my level one test . It was all good until Rookie and I had to trot for 21 min. um he did not want to trot so we have to test on this part again . I wont have to do it all over just the one i missed .Level two here I come . so for now
